This artwork specifically has so much going on and leaves a huge discussion point of what is happening and how we are interpreting what we are seeing. What we interpret can be different from someone else, and this piece was meant to bring light to a situation and even though it was made many years ago, we can still relate some of the feelings then to some of the things that are happening now.

Age has so much to do with how we view artifacts that we look at, and this is also a huge reason why humanities shouldn't be taught until later in education. When you are younger, you have opinions and ideas of course, but they widen and become more complex as you get older. You are able to explain things much better and have so much more life experience to allow you to properly explain what you are looking at.

Humanities is about what it means to be a human. When we are younger, we have such a big focus on the now and what it means to be a kid. And as we grow older, we are thinking about the future and the past and the now and focusing on so much more of what it means to be a human. The differences in these ideas are what humanities is teaching us and when we are starting to become our own human and our own person is when, I think, we should be taught about humanities.
