So the best course of action is to try to diffuse the situation and prevent any more physical alterations from happening. For issue two i picked solution two, attending protests, signing and sharing petitions with others is the best course of action and probably the most effective in this case. Because i cannot educate the government directly, banding with other people, being a good ally and amplifying Asian people's voices is the best solution. For issue three I picked solution three. Because this is my friend and I know them personally, it is my responsibility to educate them and provide them with credible resources about this situation instead of letting them stay ignorant. List of Hate Crime Problems
  1. An Asian-American man is shoved to the pavement as he is walking down the sidewalk. Individuals face racial slurs and have rocks thrown at them.
  2. When the start of the pandemic unfolded, President Trump addressed the Coronavirus as the ‘kungflu’ in order to emphasize to the public that the disease had originated in China. Moreover to try to deflect the issue Trump reasserts that his claims are “not racist at all” because the virus came from China and supports his use of racist language by claiming his purpose is to be as accurate as possible.
  3. A friend of yours is unaware of the hate crime going on towards Asian-Americans and does not realize the problem it is causing society. As a result, he or she decides to disregard the significance of the Stop AAPI Hate Movement and dismisses the idea of advocating for change as a whole.

List of Solutions
  1. Take action: approach the targeted person, introduce yourself, ask before taking any actions to respect the targeted persons wishes, and offer support.
  2. Attend protests, sign and share petitions, inform others of the racism and xenophobia against Asian-Americans.
  3. Educating the uneducated: Explain to that friend that Asian hate crime has been in America for over 160 years and provide her with a real life instance that has already happened, for example what happened in the Atlanta Georgia spa shooting.

After reading issue one I would say the right solution to the issue is solution one. I really hate to see people getting bullied in general but in this situation being a bystander is unacceptable so taking action against it would be the most valid thing to do especially when no one else would step in.
2. After reading issue two I think that the best solution to the issue is solution two. When you are trying to express your opinion to someone that has as much power as the president of the United States, you'll need a group of people that have the same motive as you, and then through peaceful protest, you can spread your ideology throughout the country to get the attention of the president.
3. After reading issue three I picked solution three as the best solution out of all. Because your friend is someone you are close with, you want them to not stray down on the wrong path in life because it is your responsibility. By giving them insight on the bigger picture of the problem regarding Asian hate and how that affects other people's lives, it can help them change their mind on the situation.

For the first issue, I would pick the first solution. Approaching the bullied person and introduce yourself will give them a sense of security. Doing so would also stop the others from committing any further hate crimes. 

2. For the second issue, president Trump's uses of word was racist and he denied it. The solution is to attend protests to speak up for the Asian community and it would be a great way to spread awareness and stop public hate against Asians. Informing others of racists and xenophobia can also be done through protests.

3. For the third issue, the best solution is also the third one. It's good to inform others that aren't aware of the movements and are misinformed. Explaining to them that Asian people played an in important role in America's society and the problems that Asian hate crimes pose. When seeing someone getting targeted or attacked, stepping in and helping out the person is the right thing to do. Passing by without doing or saying anything would be like ignoring a major issue. In situations like problem 1, you should offer support and any other way in helping, such as confronting the attacker or reporting them, all while keeping in mind the opinion of the victim. 

Problem 2 connects with solution 2. Having such a high authority person in power take a very discriminating stance on Asians takes big actions to combat. This is why to deal with the problem, protests and petitions should be utilized to spread awareness and fight against Asian hate. Spreading awareness can also be done by just simply informing others of the racism and xenophobia that exists. Doing all three things will get people to realize why Asian hate is an issue, and people can also see why President Trump was wrongful in the way he addressed the Coronavirus.

Problem 3 connects with solution 3. Dealing with a friend who is somewhat oblivious of the problems around Asian hate can be difficult. However, it should not be ignored, and like the solution states, the uneducated need to be educated. To deal with the problem, the solution would be to think of a thoughtful response in informing the friend, giving past and present examples and showing the effects that it had on Asians. This may get them to realize their offense perspective and start taking Asian hate seriously and maybe even start advocating in many different ways.

I would give the first issue the first solution. I believe that if someone were to witness an Asian hate crime happen in front of them, the most reasonable solution out of the three would be to try to support the victim in any way while still giving them space. As for the other solutions, it does not make sense to protest against one hate crime; the protest should be against the Asian hate crimes in general which does not fit in this scenario, and it would be hard to educate the person causing the hate crime as they most likely will not listen to you or would be on their way to leave.

2. I would give the second issue the second solution. I believe that if a government official, being Donald Trump in this case, is the one who is causing the hate crime, it is only reasonable to protest against them or Asian hate crimes in general. Since they are a higher-up, it would be hard to personally talk to them to educate them and since this crime is an attack to the Chinese in general, it would not make sense to literally give each affected person support. This only leaves us with protesting as it is a good way to spread awareness and to combat governmental racism, showing that society is against what they are doing. 

3. I would give the third issue the third solution. I believe that if a friend is unaware of the Asian hate crimes occurring, it is only logical to make them aware through educating them. Doing this will help spread awareness of the crimes and potentially build support for the victims, being Asians. It would not make sense to protest against your friend as they are only unaware and it would not make sense to support the victim as there is no actual victim in this case.

I believe that this is the best solution because if you were to witness a hate crime right before your eyes it's best to help out the victim and offer the support you can. If you choose to ignore the situation you would be part of the issue because you are not actively trying to stop the issue. Confronting or reporting the attacker would get the most done without causing too much trouble for the victim.

2: The second solution best goes with solution 2. When a political figure, in this case is the former President Donald Trump, is the one doing the hate crimes, the best way to combat this is to protest. By doing so, you are able to bring attention to the issue and spread awareness about Asian hate. This allows more people to be educated on the issue which can further point out Trump's wrongdoings.

3: The third problem is best paired with the third solution. In the event where your friend is obviously uninformed about the issue, it's only best if you hold a discussion about the topic. With this you can help spread the awareness of Asian hate and would help your friend understand the perspective of being an Asian-American that faces this type of issue. The first solution fits the most with the first problem. After witnessing a hate crime, I think that the most reasonable option would be to offer help to the victim. Standing by and doing nothing would only contribute to the problem. 

2. For the second problem, the second solution fits best. By attending protests and informing others against the hate and racism being committed against Asian Americans,  you would be able to combat the blatant racism that was, in this case, being displayed by the U.S. government. This would also be good method to bring attention to the issue of racism against Asian Americans in a larger scale. 

3. For the third issue, the third solution would fit best. When witnessing someone display ignorance, the best way to counteract that ignorance would be to educate them. If you were to just ignore their ignorance and leave them be, you would be contributing to the problem.
