Nearly everybody from the poorest sod to the richest Vietnamese people own a motorbike, it's a social status symbol, almost like how everyone has a mobile, everyone has a motorcycle in Vietnam.

Motorcycle business has generated nearly 2 billion dollars in total revenue from companies like Yamaha, Honda etc...

The pollution index in Hanoi becomes more and more hazardous for the people of Vietnam.

There are more than 36 million motorcycles in Vietnam which all emit more pollution than a car due to their being smaller filters on motorbikes, the larger number of them as well means that pollution in large cities is extremely high.
