1. I used Acrylic for my media. I used this because to me it makes better texture and is thinker and that I want to to use to create my piece.
2. I started my project by using black gesso on my canvas, then I choose my color scheme which was using complementary colors, mostly using blues, and reds/oranges.
3. I know where I want to put the blue paint on my piece but, I cant figure out where to put my complementary colors.

1. My risk today was the explosion of the red and orange on the right and left of the canvas. this help the design by me putting in my complementary colors into my abstract piece.
2. I am proudest of the technique and look of the blue on my piece.
3. I need to continue to develop the main part of the piece and not just make it look like a background.

How to balance the colors, specifically the reds and oranges that I put in and now I'm wondering if i should move them or not.
3.Try it out and if it doesn't work out then I can keep trying to change it up, until its what i want.

1. today I worked more on the blue that is all around my piece, and messed with different combinations to change up the look.
2. I'm trying to create unity by balancing my piece and making sure everything looks like it is suppose to be there and flows nicely. For example I'm using blue and then using complementary colors and balancing that throughout my canvas.
3. I am still struggling of where to put and what techniques to really make the reds and oranges on my canvas pop and not just look flat and boring.

1. The only that I thing might have compromised the unity was the everything looks very flat compared to the splotches of red, white, and orange that has a lot of texture and makes it pop out.
2. For my Abstract art piece I am using a complementary color scheme (blue, red, orange). I really focused on the blue for different values and tried to use different shade to give the the blue a more finish unified look. I then used brighter intensity for the reds and oranges to really make it stand out.
3. currently I just wanted to make sure that I balance the different colors and make sure the different blue values look good to make it more unified and have a more finished look and not just make it look like a background.

1. My inspiration came from an artist by the name of Melissa McCracken, who is an artist that paints songs. My idea involved by be using the same color scheme and kinda sculpted my piece to look like one of hers and then just ended up doing my own thing but still using her style and color scheme.
2. I have a lot more appreciation for this art form now and understand the actual time and thinking process that it takes to do abstract art. Before I thought just anyone could do it but now after having to do an art piece myself, it takes a lot of skill to do it.
3. Through the creation of this project I learned the different types of paints like Acrylic and Gesso and what each one is better used for, also learned a lot about color scheme and how important it is to your art piece.
4. I am most proud of my values... because I took a lot of time to change up the values of my blues and plan out where to put which value where and how I can get a more unified look through it.
