I’ve taught a course where students had an iterative assignment that was submitted in draft form over several assignments. Using a rubric was helpful, as it allowed me to give standardized feedback and demonstrate progress. I supplemented the rubric with in-assignment comments to help the students see where specific items needed to be addressed and where they could endeavor to rethink their approach more holistically.
