Yellowstone National Park

Hi Chiara ,
How are you? We are fine.
Now we are in the Yellowstone National park...it is so beautiful!
Yellowstone National Park was created in 1872. Its name was given by Native Americans because when they arrived here they saw some yellow rocks.
Now we are walking along the Yellowstone River.
Yestarday we saw some bisons with our family and my brother was afraid. In this park there are 400 types of animals. Tomorrow we are going to see some geysers and hot springs.... Do you know that the most famous geyser, the Old Faithful, erupts regularly?

Bryce Canyon National Park

Hi Fabrizio,
I'm with Mirco and Martino at the Bryce Canyon National Park. It is situated in the south-west of Utah. This park is famous for its incredible rock formations. It opened on the 25th February 1928. On Monday we arrived at our hotel near Phoenix. We rented a jeep and we went to the park on Tuesday morning and we saw the sunrise on a natural plateau. At the park there are a lot of different types of animals, like pronghorns, squirrels, ravens and blackbears too. If you want, you can go hiking, but I think we wouldn't do that. I'd prefer to go horse riding with the park guide, I'll send you a picture of my horse!
Martino is going to sleep at our hotel all the day because he would like to see the stars at night ..... here at the Bryce Canyon the stars are beautiful!
Mirco is going to visit the hoodoos, like the one in the photo.
Now I'm going to bed because I'm tired

Everglades National Park

Hi I'm here with my friend Leonardo. We are at the Everglades National Park in Florida. It is the largest tropical park in the USA. We arrived here yesterday by plane, we are staying in a hotel in Miami and we arrived here at the Everglades by bus. This park is famous for its alligators and crocodiles living together.
Can you see the alligator in the picture? We saw it this morning while we were walking on the street, we were very scared of it. it was 3,5 metres long. Now we are going to spot some other wild animals with our binoculars.

Grand Canyon National Park

How are you?
I'm writing this letter from the U.S.A in the state of Arizona. I am with Emiliano and Filippo and we want to tell you about our experience of visiting the Grand Canyon N.P. We left Italy last weekend on Saturday. The guide told us that the National Park was declared a National Monument by president Theodore Roosevelt in 1908, and today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a very famous tourist attraction because there is an incredible Skywalk bridge which is made of glass.... the view of the canyon is spectacular! We read that the Canyon was created by the Colorado River and it is 1.5 kilometres long. The first man who explored the Colorado River has been John Welsey Powell. Tomorrow we are going to visit the Bryce Canyon in the south west of Utah. It is famous for its incredible rock formations.

Monument Valley National Park

Hi Camilla,
I'm with Emma and Marta, now we are visiting the Monument Valley National Park, it is situated between Arizona and Utah.
This valley is famous bacause a lot of films were filmed here. Yesterday we took an excursion on the jeep, it was very beautiful and funny.
Tomorrow we are going to ride a horse in the valley. I think it will be exciting but intensive!
Now we are at the souvenir shop because we want to buy a present for you. I hope you will like it!!

Hawaii Volcano

Hi! Ergi!
I know you are at home and you are sick, but this week I'm on one the islands of Hawaii, in the Pacific Ocean. I'm with my friends Gaia and Mirco. Now it is two o' clock but in Italy it is nine o'clock that's why I'm writing you now.
We arrived here on Monday, we travelled by plane. On Monday we went to our hotel which is near the Volcano. On Tuesday we went to the museum and we learnt a lot of information about the Hawaii Volcano. I read that the Volcano is 4,170 m high above the sea level and the rest of Volcano is under the sea. Today it is a sunny day and we went to beach in the morning.
Now we're having lunch. Food here is delicious! My parents told me that tomorrow we are visiting the Volcano. I'm afraid of the lava and steam coming up from the Volcano.
We will come back to Italy on Saturday and I will bring you a souvenir!

Yosemite National Park

Hi Sofia,
How are you?
We are fine ! We are very happy and excited because we are at the Yosemite National Park. Here everything is fantastic!
It is in California and it was created in 1864. This park is famous for its wide canyons, for its wonderful waterfalls and also for its giant sequoia trees.
We arrived at the park 3 days ago. On the first day we went to the highest waterfall of the USA. The view of the waterfall was amazing! On the second day we went to the giant forest of Sequoia. Those trees were very high, one of them is 32m diameter and 84m high, it is called General Sherman. Today we are going to visit the eleven-kilometer-wide-canyon which has got interesting rock formations. We will probably enjoy those rocks, trying to imagine what they represent .
We hope to come back at the Yosemite natonal park next year! You might come with us!

Rocky Mountains Natinal Park

Hi Giulia,
I am with Caterina, we are in the north-central region of the USA: Colorado.
We are visiting a spectacular park and its enormous mountains and beautiful lakes and waterfalls.
Yesterday we met a couple of English tourists who visited the Yellowstone National Park, they told us that it is so beautiful and they suggest us go there .
We also heard that there are a lot of animals, so we are going to spot them and take some pictures.
But now I think that we must come back home because a thunderstorm is arriving.

Arches National Park

Hi,Giampiero!
We are at the Arches National Park!
It is very beautiful and we are having a lot of fun in this wonderful place. We arrived here yesterday by plane.
We admired this beautiful landscape and while we were walking next to a tree we saw an amazing eagle!
The park isn't big but people here are nice,if you want to visit it you can take an excursion on a jeep and discover the wonders of the Arches N. P.
There are a lot rules: we can't use motorbikes and some other electronic devices.
Luckily we could bring our pets... you know Sharon has got a cat and she wanted to bring it. We saw the Devil garden trailhead. It is one of the most spectacular attractions in the park. There you can see a beautiful landscape especially at the sunset. We are planning to return there becase we couln't see all the attractions.

Antelope Canyon National Park

Hi Alessio,
How are you? I'm fine, I am in the Antelope Canyon National Park with Ginevra and Matilde.
This national park is the most photographed in the northern Arizona.
It is a Slot Canyon in the south-west of the USA and it is situated near a little city called Page and on the Navajo land.
We arrived at the Antelope Canyon National Park on Monday. On the first day we went to Horseshoe and on Tuesday we visited the Glen Cayon National recreation area .
While we were visiting that place we were very excited because we had never seen such a wonderful place!
We hope to return here again .... maybe with you!
