I am sending you the choice of 4 stimuli for our Component 1 devised piece worth 40% of the GCSE. We will be throwing ourselves into it on our return! I have decided to keep you in the groups you have formed for the mock C1 you started - so your group chats can still stand. these are now your exam groups! We will no longer do a mock exam for C1, we will go straight into the real thing, so I am setting you a project to complete in response to the stimuli. Follow the steps below for every stimuli on the list:
  1. Research the stimulus - where does it come from?
  2. write down your initial thoughts and responses to the stimulus.
  3. Thought shower the stimulus - possible ideas for plot lines for the Devised Theatre piece -THIS WORK IS DUE ON MONDAY 27TH APRIL! SUBMIT TO EDMODO Year 10m Drama and Theatre Studies ptck5n
  4. Choose your favourite idea and conduct some secondary research based on it - this can be a news paper article or a true account story.
  5. Story board a possible plot arc for 6 scenes - do not forget Cross-Cutting!

Welcome to the Summer Term! I hope everyone is safe and healthy! 
A few changes this term:
You need to complete a lesson of Drama a week. I have broken the summer term projects up into tasks and will be issuing deadline dates for every task.

Submit work to Edmodo Year 10 Drama and Theatre Studies ptck5n where there will be set tasks that correlate to the padlet and deadlines.

    2. Research any information you can about the play 'Hard to Swallow' - this can be in the form of a word document or a mood board/ poster photographed and uploaded on the Edmodo Year 10 Drama and Theatre Studies Class - ptck5n - that includes a little about the story line of the play, the main characters, the style of the play - the fact it was adapted from a book by the mother of the protagonist, where the play has been performed and toured etc.
    The deadline for this work in two parts is in two weeks time - the 16th June.
