It also made me think about how to handle situations within a classroom when it comes to behaviors of children. I believe this course helped me to be "woke" and become aware of some of the issues that are facing our world. I believe this course is supposed to help teach me, as a future teacher, how to react when issues such as the ones we have discussed in class come up in the classroom. I think this class has helped open my eyes a bit to what is going on in the world and has forced to me to become aware of the issues and situations in our world. Topics such as race and gender identity. Overall, I am still kind of confused at what the point of the course was, but what I got from it was to give empathy to those who need it and to work through feelings that need to be worked through. As a future teacher, I find it useful to know how to prepare the situation of a child blowing up and hurting your feelings, and being able to control the situation. While it did introduce topics that may cause conflict, it was helpful. I found it helpful because these types of conflict may be seen in our own classroom in the future. We as educators need to be prepared for uncomfortable
