Squealer uses language that intimidates to manipulate the animals into working toward the pigs’ wants. He makes the animals agree to supplying the pigs with apples and milk from the harvest by intimidating animals that they will lose their new freedom if they don’t. “surely there is no one among you who wants to see Jones come back?”. Without being forced under human’s oppression, the animals live their lives doing work without Jones forcing them to and beating them to comply. When the animals discover that the pigs have been consuming all the recently harvested apples and milk, Squealer convinces them that it is a necessity to make sure Jones won’t come back.

Boxer had collapsed while working for the sake of the windmill. Napoleon had arranged for Boxer to be treated at a hospital while in reality the arrangement was made for the knackers to take Boxer away. In the middle of work a van titled Alfred Simmonds, Horse Slaughterer and Glue Boiler, Willingdon took Boxer away. Three days later Squealer announced that he had died in the hospital in Willingdon despite receiving the best treatments. It is apparent that Squealer had been there with Boxer during his last moments. “And at the end, almost too weak to speak, he whispered in my ear that his sole sorrow was to have passed on before the windmill was finished.” Squealer took advantage of the death of fallen comrades to convey emotion to those who knew and looked up to him. In doing this, he makes up the last words of Boxer by mixing Boxer’s maxims in with Squealer’s ideas. He then addresses the rumor that Boxer has been taken to the knackers and proclaims it as false information and that their beloved leader Comrade Napoleon would never do such a thing, which happens to be a lie.

Claim: Squealer uses language that distorts the truth towards the Farm Animals by stating that Snowball was leaguing with Jones. Boxer didn’t believe him because he can't read the note, which is said to be Snowballs.

Evidence: “Jones's shot only grazed him. I could show you this in his own writing, if you were able to read it.”

Analysis: Squealer distorts the truth by taking advantage of the animal's lack of intelligence against them and makes them question themselves. By confusing the farm animals, of whether the note is really snowballs, Squealer is able to make the other animals confused of who the real enemy is.

Squealer manipulates the animals by using language that distorts the truth. While arguing someone mentions that Snowball sacrificed himself at war and got hurt in order to defend the farm , Squealer's response was “Bravery is not enough, loyalty and obedience are more important.” The animals trust Snowball and they keep on questioning Squealer and telling him that Snowball wouldn’t do that, his goal is to convince and confuse the animals in order to put the animals on his side.
