Libraries should provide materials and information presenting all points of view on current and historical issues. <br>III. Llibraries should challenge censorship in the fulfillment of their responsibility to provide infromation and enlightenment. <br>IV. Libraries should cooperate with all persons and groups concerned with resisting abridgement of free expression and free access to ideas. <br>V. A person's right to use a library should not be denied or abridged because of origin, age, background, or views. <br>VI. Libraries that make exhibit spaces and meeting rooms available to the public they serve should make such facilities available on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting their use. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Copyright Exceptions and Limitations- Be aware of copyright policy of your institution and enforce it.<br>2. Public Domain- Having a general understanding of the types of information in the public domain and which can be used.<br>3. First Sale Doctrine- Allows libraries to lend books and other materials that it has purchased.<br>4. Fair Use- Allows the use of copyrighted materials without permission under certain circumstances.&nbsp;<br>5. Section 108 Exceptions- Provides for libraries and archives to make reproductions of copyrighted works without seeking permission from the copyright holder for the purposes of preservation of unpublised works and the replacement of published works.<br>6. Orphan Works- Works that are in copyright, but for which the copyright holder can't be found or identified.<br>7. Open Access- Allows for the free access of published material through openly accessible digital repositories.&nbsp;<br>8. Creative Commons- Nonprofit organization that provides a set of copyright licenses and tools allowing creators and copyright holders to incrementally waive their own rights to works they have created.&nbsp;<br>9. Library Instructions and Intellectual property- Role is to inform and provide guidance to students about copyright violations and how to avoid liability.<br>10. Digital Rights Management- A method by which copyrighted works may be enabled to police themselves.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
