I worked with CLIL before, I used to plan my classes using it and all the previous information I know about CLIL integrate perfect with the new information, all content and language must work together and something new for me was the vocabulary integration with different areas and teachers, I consider this extremely useful because students can link previous classes vocabulary with my classes and I can strong the use of that vocabulary too in that way all works together.

Mariam Castaño

I did not think before I can work together with other areas teachers using common vocabulary and strong that vocabulary use in our clasess, working together can help us to do not spend classes time explaining vocabulary over and over again and they can integrate what they learned in different classes with my classes and content. I think is a really good way to help us btw teachers and optimize our classes time.

Mariam Castaño

I think the big challenge using CLIL is not fail trying to use the second language and switch the language code because students are not understanding. The best thing is looking for different ways to explain the content but never change the language code.
Content should be easy enough to understand it well in the second language.
But, what happend when students does not have any previous knowledge or experience with the second language?

Mariam Castaño
