Informed Consent in Psychology:
• Psychologists must respect all the rights that everyone in the study has the right to withdraw from the study and know and understand what the Psychologist is studying.
• There are certain codes set to protect the individuals in the study and the Psychologist
• There are set committees that review proposals to see if there would be any positive outcomes to different studies or research.

. The process by which th treating health care provider discloses appropriate information to a competent patient  (Appelbaum, 2007). 
.   The most important goal of informed consent is that the patient has an opportunity to be an informed participant in her health care decisions (Appelbaum, 2007).
.  Doctors will give you information about a particular treatment or test in order for you to decide whether or not you wish to undergo a treatment or test. This process of understanding the risks and benefits of treatment is known as informed consent (Wagner, 2015).
