Abby is a graduate of MGH Institute for Health Professions PPOTD program of 2024. She also holds a Master of Science in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University.

Abby has been practicing as an occupational therapist for 6 years specializing in chronic pain, orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and return to work.

She currently works at:

• Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Outpatient Services

• Grand Traverse Pavilions SAR and LTC

Abby loves outdoor activities such as hiking and boating. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Abby is passionate about spreading the good word of OT to increase awareness for this amazing profession!

• Individuals living with chronic pain are limited to access and knowledge of additional treatment options to decrease dependence on pharmaceuticals and increase overall quality of life. There continues to be minimal occupational therapy interventions or resources available to target individuals who experience chronic pain.​​

Project Aim:

The aim of this project is to promote healthy lifestyle changes with the

use of educational workshops.

Goals are to:

• Increase engagement in meaningful activities

• Improve self-efficacy

• Improve overall quality of life

• Increase knowledge of pain education. ​
