The Day I was Born

I was born on April 14th, 1989. It was Friday my favorite day of the week and it was 11:45 pm. My mom was in room 414 but my grandma and aunts were outside. My grandma was excited and proud. It was her birthday and I was her birthday present. Since then, we have been very close. She took care of me. I was the baby of the family.

The first day at school

I was three when my parents decided that it was time to study. In front of my house, there was a school called CHUCHIS. My mom chose a beautiful dress for me and we went to that place. The teachers were so kind but I was really scared and anxious. I felt disappointed when my mom left and I started to cry. My teacher pampered me and I started to feel more comfortable. At the end of that day, I was happy. My teacher sang a lovely English song and I learned it by heart.

My first day in a Bilingual School

When I was a child, my dad used to speak in English. He gave me some instructions and I understood. He decided that I needed to study in a Bilingual school and when I was 6, I went there. We lived in Barranquilla and the school’s name was La sabiduria. This experience was awesome. I was excited and I felt so motivated each day. I learned science, math, and physical Education in English. That was a beautiful moment.

I got lost in a mall in Barranquilla

When I was 4, I lived in Barranquilla I remember it was December and My dad and mom had been invited to a party. My mom needed a dress because he was pregnant, and her clothes didn’t fit her so we went to a mall called Viviero. It was a new mall in the city. We walked to the department clothes and I found a beautiful blue dress. I was looking at it when I wanted to tell something to my mom they weren’t there. I felt so scared, my parents weren’t there. I walked to the fitting room and I stayed there for more than an hour. Finally, one of the women who worked there opened the door and asked me: Are you the lost girl? I said “Yes, I am” and we went with my parents. Both were crying. It was a stressful moment. My dad felt frustrated. We came back home and we didn’t buy anything.

I returned to Bucaramanga city.

Since I was 2 years old, I live in Barranquilla. One day my dad left his job because he was really tired. He couldn’t spend time with us and he felt guilt. We are from Bucaramanga. All my family lived there and I wanted to stay near my lovely grandma. It was Monday when my daddy told us he had left his job. He told me, Baby, we will go to Bucaramanga tomorrow. I started to cry because I was pleased and really happy. It was the happiest day of my life. Since then, I live here.

The saddest day of My Life

I lost my grandma, she died. I was 16 and I was in 11^th grade. I was at school and when I arrived my granny was ready to go to the hospital. She felt bad. She told me “ I need to go to the doctor but please eat your lunch, see you later”. She had a heart attack, and she never went home again. She died on March 3^rd, 2006. I lost the most important person in my life. That day I felt frustrated, sad, and mad. It was difficult for me. I loved her.

I had an accident

Three years ago, I had an accident at home. I was sitting on my sofa when I felt dizzy and fell off. I put my hands to don’t get hurt but I broke my right thumb. It was awful, I felt too scared and angry. I had to go to the doctor and I had to wait for three days for the surgery. I had a plaster cast on my right hand and arm for one month. I learned to do everything to the left hand. The only thing that made feel proud was that I develop another important skills.

My favorite Trip

I love traveling and in 2018 I went to visit five places. I spent one week doing this. There is a place in the world that I love the most. It is Barichara. A beautiful town in Santander. All in that place is yellow and you find marvelous architecture there. I stayed there for 4 days. I ate delicious food, I took many photos, I tasted the strangest ice cream flavors and I was extremely happy.

My first Job

I was 18^th and I started to work. I started working as a secretary in a cleaning company. I hated that job because I had to deal with many people and calls at the same time. I was stressed. I was angry and irritated all the time. I felt disappointed and I was miserable. I left that place three months later because I started to study my first career.

My TKT Exam Results

The first time I had my TKT exam I was nervous because I hadn’t had time to study. I was finishing my career and I was working at a bilingual school and my boss paid for that exam. I went there, I presented that test, and four weeks later my boss had the results. I got the best grade on that test and my boss gave me a present for having reached that goal.
