The four organizations mentioned helped protect either the lives of wildlife or the habitats that they resided in. The four acts mentioned in this timeline helped protect the air, river, and forest systems in the US/world. He was an enthusiast for the protection of the wildlife and always endorsed the importance of a maintained forest. In 1974, he wrote a series of articles titled, "Studies in the Sierra" where he spread the intelligence he garnered while in the mountains. He passionately worked to fix the increasing problem of destroyed mountains and meadows due to agriculture. In 1892, he founded the Sierra Club to connect people who shared the same philosophies as him.
Connection: Muir is a connected to wildlife preservation as his club focused on maintaining the health and safety of forests as well as mountains.
