Intellectuals: Having a lot of theological books at home, makes me at times randomly open a book and just read it thoroughly.

Naturalist: Upon waking up, I usually go for a morning walk with my family. According to the passages above, Jesus claimed to be God. He made the kinds of claims that only a person who presumed he was God would make. Both His friends and His enemies called Him God, and He never attempted to deny it. He even commended His followers for believing He was God.

    Application
    There is a phase in my life recently where I need to be cheerful and strong to encourage my friends but then me myself felt burn out. As I went back to the the Bible it reminds me how God wanted me to put my trust onto Him then I no longer feel hopeless and burnt out.

  • David wanted to build a house for God, but God said that he does not require that. God promised that David will have rest from his enemies. And about God's blessing and favor will be with the house of David forever. When they do wrong, they will be punished, but God's love will never leave them.

  • It means that God is please with David and will honor David.

  • What does it mean to me? Why did God love David? What did he do right? He chooses to honor God even if that may be an unpopular decision - like not killing Saul. Dear God, help me to walk right in you and find favor in you. that I may also be blessed to have rest from my enemies.
