It is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate towards other people; be it your family members, pets, friends or strangers. Being kind to another person is one’s willingness to sacrifice something for the good of the other party. For example, when you are being kind to a sick person by taking care of them – buying medicine, prepare them food and send them to the clinic, you sacrificed money, effort and time to do all that. This is what makes many people reluctant to be kind. However, that does not mean that we should not practice it. Sometimes, being kind does not require you to sacrifice so many things, a listening ear for someone who has a troubled mind is enough. Sometimes, it is the little things that we do to help another person that matters most. If you are capable of doing big great things, excellent. Keep up the good work. But, if you can do small things for other people, that is also good enough, for as long as you put the effort to help another person. That is also a simple act of kindness. 

Kindness is a cycle. What goes around comes around. When we are kind to another person, that act of kindness will come back to us but in a different way. Many of us fail to see that but it does happen. I have been there where I was at my lowest, I needed a lot of support in terms of moral, spiritual and financial. And someone was there to lend me some help. Not long after that, the person needed the same help and I helped him to get through it too. I am a strong believer that everything happens for so many reasons. Being kind to another person might just be a ticket that you gained for yourself or your family members to get that kindness back.

One may be very rich but humble through the way they dress or how they communicate with people around them. A humble person will treat everyone around them equally and is never proud or boast about themselves. It is an important trait that all must practice to ensure that we are living in a peaceful environment. Being humble comes together with humility where one does not believe that they are better than anyone else. But that does not always mean that they are bad, it is just that they are down-to-earth. It makes us work with these people better as they are always open to hear other people’s opinions and ideas.
