My belief and understanding of trends in education tells me we are never going back to the traditional paper and pencil requirements to the extent of what was acceptable.  From the first email sent by the principal stating that we are going remote (with 3 days to prepare) to today, I have learned so much. I predict that this course and future undertakings will procure my curiosity to increase learning and use of technology.
    2. Taking this course allows me to confirm my conviction of continuing to use technology in my teaching practice. Despite going back into the classroom to teach, I cannot fall into the past patterns of traditional teaching. The need to advance in technology used during the height of the pandemic opened up a new way of teaching; remote to hybrid. I believe that classroom in person learning is only a piece of how we can teach and enhance a student's learning. All educators need to make the personal, albeit sometimes uncomfortable, shift to use technology as a companion teacher.     This course will be valuable for me as it will assist me in developing my technology toolbox. I have always wanted to find ways to incorporate technology within my classroom; however, I have always had difficulties understanding how to use technology, that I have let this fear prevent me from branching out and trying new resources. Any and all technology tools that I can utilize in a class of kindergarten students will be a wonderful addition to my future classrooms and teachings.

    My goals for this course are simple: to learn what technology tools can be effective to utilize in a kindergarten classroom, and how to use these technologies within my classroom to promote learning.

As I have reflected on what I learned this year, it would be a wasted experience to go back to teaching the same way we were before the remote experience.     After a full year of face 2 face classes after months of online schooling, I have come to the understanding that much of what we did online should be transferred to the classroom. "Traditional" school will never and SHOULD never look the same again. I think this course, will help me learn new tools and ways to use them both online and in regular classes.

    I'm excited for this course started by focus on reflecting on the past 1.5 school year. I was disappointed my school didn't reflect at the end of the year. I hope this course will teach us how to transition back into a blended learning classroom. I'm not sure if we will have a fully remote learning option again at my school with the availability of VLACS, but perhaps this course would prepare in the event we do have fully virtual classes again.

    What are your intentions/goals for your learning in this course?
    I'm hoping to learn some more concrete or structured approaches to remote / virtual instruction, in other words best practices for the virtual learning environment.

    My purpose for taking this course is to fine tune my skill set for virtual teaching and learning. I did not receive formal training in Google Classroom and had no prior experience teaching remotely. It was just like jumping into the deep end without swimming lessons. While I did learn a lot from tutorials and my colleagues, I still need more help with organization and working more efficiently; I did not do well will planning the day with time for me to grade and rejuvenate. I need more tips and training on how to balance direct instruction with asynchronous learning. 

    What are your intentions/goals for your learning in this course?  

    My goals are to connect with other instructors who are teaching at the high school level, hopefully business & marketing. I would like to locate more quality resources I can integrate into my instruction to keep my students engaged when having to work independently. I also would like to learn how to balance my expectations with a reasonable pace and rigor. We were asked to be flexible with due dates, which created another host of issues regarding late and missing assignments. Should we go remote again or hybrid, this will no longer be the case so I would like to learn more about how to be successful in those areas.

    How do you predict this course might be valuable to you?
    I was surprised by how much I enjoyed teaching remotely and I am considering the possibility of seeking an online position in the future.  I feel that taking a class now, after teaching remotely for almost an entire school year, is an excellent opportunity.  I know what struggles remote students have and I am very aware of my own limitations as a remote teacher.  Knowing what I don't know puts me in a good position to learn as much as I can.   

     What are your intentions/goals for your learning in this course?

    It will be interesting to connect with other NH educators and learn about the many different experiences that this past year afforded all of us.  Though I hope to never again engage in "crisis teaching," I do believe it is important to maintain some level of proficiency around distance learning moving forward and to sharpen my skillset in terms of lesson design, implementation, and assessment.
    What are your intentions/goals for your learning in this course?
