Quartering Act (1765)

The Quartering Act was a brief time in the revolution where the colonists were forced to give up their houses for British Troops to further help the growth and development of the 13 colonies. This happened due to the French and Indian War costing so much money. This angered the majority of colonists due to the fact that this was their houses and now these random strangers

Stamp Act (1765)

On March 22, 1765 the British Parliament passed the “Stamp Act.” This was an act that forced the colonists to pay a tax on papers and different things. This would get Colonists upset due to the unfairness of this act. The people of the 13 colonies worked for their money and for it to be taken away without any say from them is unfair. This caused them to take action with the famous adage "No taxation without representation"

Boston Massacre (1770)

The Boston Massacre was a terrible event where the Colonists retaliated against the British and payed deeply for it. The Colonists were fed up with the constant punishment they had to go through when all they wanted was independence. So in retaliation they rioted at a British outpost. The British were fed up with things being thrown at them so they drew their weapons and fired.

Tea Act (1773)

The Boston Tea Party was an important event that took place on December 16, 1773. during the American Revolution. Upset with the British government's decision to put a tax on tea. Which the colonists saw as an unfair thing. a group of colonists from the Sons of Liberty dressed as Native Americans and went on three British ships in the Boston Harbor. They unloaded chests of tea into the water. This act of protest showed the colonists resistance to British taxation and served as an event for further revolutionary actions, leading to the American War for Independence.

Intolerable Acts (1774)

The Intolerable Acts were unfair policies Britain was introducing that the British made after the Boston Tea Party in 1773. The British closed the Boston port, which interfered with the economy and made a lot of people lose their jobs. They also changed the government in Massachusetts and made it harder for the colonists to have their own meetings. It made the colonists super mad and led to even more fights with the British, which eventually led to the Revolutionary War.
