Growth for the students who were in attendance in participating.

More growth from those that have been here since the beginning of the year.

Consistency of how you establish Literacy in your room and the routine.

Confidence in reading and understanding in peers has grown. Not a high jump in reading levels but fluency and attitude are better.

growth: because their vocabulary during reading comprehension in the classroom is improving during discussions

Growth: testing shown improvements (Maze, vocab assessment, spelling etc.)

Growth: kids are proud of their improvements want to share with each other

Growth: kids are risk-taking more, pushing themselves, are finding it easier

Growth: kindergarten kiddos are reading already

We believe we will see improvement, especially for students who were consistent with the routine two years in a row
Some of us are still growing in our understanding, but it is helpful for structure in the classroom
EES has improved a lot with phonics. Being consistent with the same routine has been really helpful
For younger kids, it is the most independent time in their day because they are so used to the routine/expectations

We are seeing growth across the board no matter what
Areas with lesser growth might be attributed to students enrolling late, not having experience with a structured literacy routine, illness, etc
- Is there a way to filter that data to help us better understand?
Grade 5 is a huge improvement, which we think would be because Jason has done this routine successfully for two years

Different people testing throughout the year could equate to stagnant and/or regression.

Next steps:-didn't start with resources right away might have impacted results

-we didn't start targeted literacy in kindergarten until after testing so next year start with phonics games and sensory letter centers right away to get routines going

-start teaching how to do centers early

Next steps: continue with decoding practice-even with kids who scores show they are good, when they have confidence they are more willing to risk take in spelling, writing, etc.

-continue building vocabulary

-continue building reading comprehension
