         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Subject:</strong> Physics<br><strong>Focus groups:</strong> Year 11 (KS4) 28 pupils <br><strong>Learning Objectives: </strong>To enable pupils to understand the physical principles behind climate change and actively respond to it.<br><strong>Overall Idea:</strong> Pupils form study groups and undertake online researches about climate change and greenhouse gases. They connect these knowledge to some of the previously learnt physics concepts including electricity, energy conversion, radiation, thermodynamic equilibrium and composition of the atmosphere. They carry out online researches about current local policies on mitigating greenhouse effects. They build a model to demonstrate the impacts of greenhouse effect, design and create a poster collaboratively to showcase their findings as a group.</div>]]></description>

They have completed IGCSE physics and currently take A-level physics. They have a rich knowledge of greenhouse gases, radiation, electricity and thermodynamic equilibrium and recently studies blackbody radiation.<br><br>The school is located in central areas in Shanghai, where greenhouse effect is evident.</div>]]></description>
