         <title>Belief- The word Dao means “The Way”, which explains the base of this religion. The basic beliefs of Daoism , or Taoism consists of the Chinese philosophy to signify the foundation or true nature of the world. So basically, this religion relies heavily on the harmony of things in order for the world to work properly and  for there to be peace. For example a harmony/ relationship would be hot and cold, or day and night. </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Daoism spread because of Laozi's journey to the west. Daoists believed it was right and they wanted others to partake in philosophy and religion . It first spread across China then to Korea and Japan. Buddhism and Daoism spread around the same region. they are similar religions which contain many similar beliefs and practices, such as a belief in reincarnation and extensive use of meditation.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>* Taoism started in 500-300 B.C.E.&nbsp;<br>* Through 200 B.C.E, and 142 C.E, a second piece of writing called Zhuangzi a new sect of Taoism that was created.<br>*184 C.E - 249 C.E, the yellow scarves rebellion played an important role in Taoism. During this time, Taoist also become compatible with Confucianism by scholar named Wang Bi<br>* In the years 618 1279 C.E, many emperors like Wu Zong start supporting Taoism. Also, more sects and Orthodox Taoism are created<br>*In the years 1919-1950 C.E the religion is persecuted in China but Taoism is still spread throughout the world.<br>* Finally , in the year 1982 the religion is somewhat restored in china and Taoism is one of the 5 religions approved in china.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
