The cafeteria at Stroud Campus is absolutely appalling; the real low point is the shop “Starbucks” (a horrible American brand that has somehow wormed its way into Britain). This so called shop seemed to be determined to give young people diabetes because all they sell are heart attack inducing snacks. The shelves are packed high with chocolate bars and crisps. I might also add that there are NO other options; if you don’t want to kill yourself with sugar then the college is prepared to let you starve. The shop is almost completely devoid of gluten free, dairy free and vegan foods which I think is disgusting. The welfare of vulnerable young people are in the college’s hands but they still don’t care. 

The college hot food is equally as vomit inducing; all they serve is curry and chips. Again there is nothing available for people with intolerances and allergies which seems to be continuing the college’s ongoing quest to neglect students needs. At Easter last year, the college replaced their free fruit with Cadburys Creme Eggs which was a really low blow; this act completely undermined the college’s claims that they care about students health. 

I thoroughly recommend that Stroud College should start providing meals that are heathly and can be eaten by everyone. All chocolate bars and other sugar filled snacks should be abolished and replaced by fruit and nutritious foods. I think these changes would vastly change students generally negetive outlook on the college food.
