The Rwandan genocide started in Rwanda, Africa  by the death of the Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana, a Hutu, when his plane was shot down above Kigali airport on the  6th of April in 1994 and the genocide started by April 7th, 1994. It lasted about one hundred days then ended in July 1994. The perpetrators of the Rwandan genocide are the Hutu extremists. The victims of the genocide are the Tutsi citizens. Over 800,000 Tustsi citizens have lost their lives during this genocide. It had vowed never to return to a conflict it couldn't understand, between clans and tribes it didn't know, in a country where the US had no national interests.
