Specifically pain killers lead to many of the abuser's first use of opiates. The reason for this is that once you take the drug ocycodone you experience a short term high. People with addictive tendencies and even people who are not particularly prone to an addictive nature become moths to a street lamp. Always going back to it even though every time they come out feeling weaker and weaker until eventually their heart stops. Then their little bug doctor comes and uses defibrillation to bring them back to life. After this you would think they would learn, but they start the process over and over again. This is a roller-coaster of death that no one wants to be a part of but sadly many are.  Before you take that first hit be the bigger man and get out while you still can. It only takes one time.
