I believe I can take this advice whether I enter or help a friend with a relationship. Mahalo for showing me and everybody else how to identify these problems!

Something new that I have learned is that 33% of teens who have been abused, have never told anyone about it. I used to wonder why but now I know that it is not always easy to walk away or tell someone. I have also learned ways to identify an unhealthy relationship so maybe I can help that 33% of teens who stay quiet. A big mahalos to the two wonderful ladies who care about our relationships and didn't look at us as "too young" like many other adults.

I also learned how to spot an abusive relationship, how to help someone in one, and how to get out of one yourself.

Something new I learned is that only 1 in 3 high schoolers in Hawaiʻi report being in abusive relationships. As I thought about it that is quite a big number. It makes me fell kinda sad that all these students are effected by this. I also learned that TAP808 is a way for those effected to confide in someone, so that they can get the help they need. Mahalo Dawnshee and Laura for coming to our class and teaching us these important aspects of life.

Something new that I learned is that due to gender norms, abuse may not be taken as seriously in relationships compared to other relationships. A scenario given for this would be a female and female relationship where abuse is present, but because someone may view females as more "weak and forgiving", they may not take the situation very seriously. I found this very shocking and big news to me because I'd expect all abuse to not be taken lightly. Mahalo Dawnshee and Laura for educating me more on what's healthy and abusive in a relationship.

Something that I learned is that there are lots of teens that get affected by some type of relationship abuse. As well as learning the different forms relationship abuse can take. After learning about this information I feel like I can help friends who may be in need or have caught themselves in an abuse relationship and don't even know it. Mahalo Dawnshee and Laura for teaching us things that are relative to our problems as well as knowing the warning signs.

Aloha E KUMU Dawnshee and KUMU Luara
Thank you guys for going out of your ways to tell a meesage to teens about healthy relationshipʻs and what a healthy relationship looks like, It means a lot to me because I am a Foster kid and mosthat of them end up in a unhealthy relation ship because they never learnd what it was or theyʻre wall was to strong to knock down to learn it , i learnd that i am blessed to have the privlage to be in Kamehameha Kapalama HS because not a lot of foster kids get a fully paid ride in the school so in that and tap808 i learnd to be a little more carefulof how i am to others becuse u donʻt have to have a boy friend to be in a unhealthy relationship it could be ur friends or your adopted family as well as your bio family that ca me an unhealthy relationship too. I know that because i was in one Iʻll be honest I was the one who made my relationship with my adopted family a unhealthy relationship just because i knew i was adopted at the age of 5 i hated my life that i made other people around me lives misrable becaause i was in a place where my adopted parents were my enamie for not telling me who my real parents are and why they arenʻt here when i had a family who loved me so dearly infornt of me but i didnʻt see them as it all i saw was they were mean ,they werent i was and i. made the house a wreak and would throwm tantrums because i wantd something they couldnʻt give me( the Girl sometimes cant get what they needfrom a guy) so they need help as i need too so. i went to get help but one day i was so upset i made them really mad. that my mom said if you donʻt wanʻt to be here( as i said often) get out she throw my thing out the door and i said fine and went then she said your not welcome back and slamed the door in my face. it was a school day so i walked to my bus stop and went to school then i had alfterschool all stars and i was getting picked up but my friendʻs mom said i could live with them but my theripist my carecooranadior and my dr. were there i didnʻt want to go with them i want to say goodbye to my mom like i uesally would

Aloha e Kumu Dawnshee a me Laura Dell,

Mahalo for coming to speak to us in our personal health classroom! I feel as if the information you spread to all of us is and will be very useful for us as time passes, and I really mahalo you for opening up this information so that we can be better people! Something that I learned from this class and will keep with myself, is being able to differ between a healthy and an abusive relationship. This could very well come into need, and would 100% help me to best get the people I know the resources and the help that they need.
