What do we do for the preps that have smashed through their progress monitoring and are excelling in all areas?

At this point of the year we have maybe been able to conference once or twice with kids? Guided reading never. This is because of the huge amount of content included in the literacy block. Could the structure please be revised? We feel a lot of people are expressing this but it’s falling on deaf ears…

Constant testing

Finding that due to constant testing between LL and Dibels that we aren’t getting to guided reading or conferencing which impact those anecdotal notes that you’re saying we need. We don’t get to do any of that when we are always needing to test.

I understand the need for a scope and sequence, especially once we have LLLL fidelity. Could we be responsive to our students with a scope a scope in mind as a guide, but use what our students current understanding is and build from there?
