Its not always the way a person or thing looks upon which you should judge. Sometimes a monster can hide inside the prettiest of things. A good example would be those things our parents taught us were weeds, can look so pretty when you´re a child. As you grow you think of them as what your parents teach: weeds. The word weeds has a bad connotation and we think of them to almost be like an infection but only a few years ago we´d collect them for our grandmothers. This follows this theme because as children they are so pretty, once we get older we realize that these are what caused so much sneezing and these are what killed the garden that year we did not pull them. This mans name is Victor. Victor eventually opens up and tells Robert he is looking for a horrible thing, not a man, but a thing. He asks him to write his account as he tell him about it. Victor tells Robert that this ´thing´ has killed just about everything he loves and has brought him to this bairn wasteland on what he describes as a ´hunt´. He went to a graveyard and picks pieces of body that he finds suitable of his creation. He knew what it would look like. He sewed the thing together. Yet, when it came alive, when it got up and stumbled near him he ran as fast as he could away from it. He is not scared of the way it looks, he is scared of it being alive. He took the human race to a new level and did not wish to own up to it because he was frightened of what he had done. Even though he knew what the monster would look like and how large it would be because he picked out the parts he wanted for it. No one else did that for him. By abandoning it he left the creation to fend for itself, that is like leaving a 2 year old child behind in the woods and letting it learn how to fend for itself. It was an inhumane action that should not have happened. Victor should have taken responsibility and taught the monster. His father also mourning their deaths believes a vacation or two is in order. While in Chamounix, Victor runs into his creation. His monster wishes nothing more than for him to listen to his story after Victor had abandoned him. The monster wants Victor to know what he has gone through, almost as to get a reason why Victor had left him behind. Victor did not want to listen to him he wished to kill and hurt the monster, to see it dead after all it had supposedly done to him. Once realizing his outcastish appearance he wished to seek revenge on his creator for making him as such and leaving him behind. Feelings of guilt over run him through the whole story and at the death of his father he practically lost it and went on a hunt through multiple countries chasing the tracts of the monster. He feels guilt because if he hadn't created the monster he wouldn't be in this situation and no one would be dead. He almost feels foolish. Chasing the monster brings him toward the north arctic region and he manages to get to a ship where we take a turn around back to the beginning of the book where Victor meets Robert Walton. He says to Robert that he is unsure whether to ask him or not to fulfill his killing if he should happen to die before he is able to do so.
