What is a radical? Elements of a Radical? How can you simplify a Radical? Use a website and watch 3 videos (Khan Academy, Youtube...) to Research. WRITE THE LINKS OF THE VIDEOS AND THE BIBLIOGRAPHY AT THE END OF THE NOTE.

Answer the questions in the body of the note and hang the video that you understood the most.

What is a radical?

An expression that has a square root, cube root, can be
expressed by normal, multiplication or división.

Elements of a
Radical?

Index, radical symbol, radicand

How can you simplify a Radical?

1.
Find the largest perfect square which will
divide……. Ex √48

2.
Write the product (multiplication) of the
perfect square ….. ex√48
= √16x3

3.
Give each number its own radical sign…….. ex √48 = √16x3 = √16 x √3

4.
Reduce the "perfect" radical ……. Ex √48 = √16x3 = √16 x √3 = 4√3

5.
Answer …… ex = √48=4√3
