Hello, my name is Andreia and I'm from Portugal. I'm a student of PIS and i'm studing to be a teacher. I'm 20 years old. Since I was kid and teenager i loved teaching so I chose the job for my life .I am a person who is passionate about history and geography. Here i'm gonna post some facts about me and abput education. My expirience in education

When I was 15 years old I was part of a project that aims to help students from years before me who have many difficulties.

That's where I realized that my vocation was education. it was very gratifying to see how the student improved her grades a lot and how she started to gain interest in the school.

Throughout my academic career I did several internships in different contexts and I really enjoyed it. Initially I only liked pre-school education and then I discovered how much I enjoyed the first cycle of basic education. During the summer holidays I take care of children and also work in a center of explanations.

How non-formal and/or informal learning play a role in your life now.

For me, formal education is one that occurs in traditional education systems; the non-formal corresponds to the organized initiatives of learning that happen outside the educational systems; while informal are those that occur throughout life. For me informal education is very important because our knowledge is composed of the contents we learn in school but also by our experiences. With our life experiences we learn many important things that are very important for the formation of our personality. It is through these that we learn how to deal properly with the unpleasant situations of our day to day. For in school everything is not taught about life and hence informal education is very important.

The importance of social networks in teaching

In my school the social network that we use as PLN is Facebook. Personally I do not really like facebook but I have to confess that it is quite practical for us to ask questions, to share ideas and where important notices are posted. Of course, the email can also do this all but the truth is that through facebook everyone has access to information much faster because many people do not use the email much and eventually forget to consult. But like all there are disadvantages. For teaching with children in my opinion it is somewhat disadvantageous to use social networks as we would encourage children to use these that can become dangerous. In conclusion, PLNs are advantageous and practical and so I think we should bet on them.

When I read the article" Why Innovative Teachers Use Instagram: 7 Ways to Become a Socially Connected Educator" I was surprised that we can use instagram to do activities. For me Instagram is the best social network but I had never found potential for education in this social network. The use of social networks is quite advantageous because we can carry out activities in a more fun and even make classes at a distance. I think all teachers should be trained or just trying to modernize and use these resources that are very beneficial to students. This is because unfortunately the teaching in my country is very old and therefore it needs new strategies more interesting and that in fact they result and they make the children have success.

Secondly we have an activity destined to mathematics, this consists in constructing circles with the
multiplication tables when the students raised each number that the number is multiplied appeared the result. this would be a support for when they are learning the
