You were my first friendly face when I walked on campus. You created a department at Folks that can both fight and love like a family. You told me a good teacher can teach anything! And convinced me to go outside of my comfort zone and join history! You have been a mentor and good friend through some pretty rough times. You are a no BS- lead by example-get the job done giving 150% woman. I love you and will miss you as the driving force in history. Your new campus has no idea how lucky they are to have you. My worries were always much less with the knowledge that you were representing our department with district and bringing recognition of social studies successes and needs.
