I think the Byzantine Empire is it's own Empire because it makes alot of engineering break that they made them selfs. For example they made this fire that can't be put out be water. They might have used the same building ideas of the Romans but, they changed them up a little to make them better. The Romans made really good building ideas, the Byzantines want to become a successful empire just like them so they used the same ideas as Rome but didn't fully copy them. This is why I think the Byzantine Empire is it's own Empire.

I feel as if the Byzantine empire was its own type of empire or land. But they definitely did take Rome so architecture and ideas. The Byzantine empire to me is like a rip-off of Rome almost? I don't know how to explain but the empire was definitely taking alot of Rome culture and ideas like I said before!? I'm almost wondering why they did? I know how amazing Rome was but don't you think this will maybe ruin he Byzantine empire like Rome? Maybe this is why it fell in 1453?

I believe the Byzantine Empire to be its own civilization because Rome will always have an influence over civilizations after its time. The Byzantine Empire was heavily affected because they were living in what was Rome's old territory just as it fell. The Byzantine Empire had their own inventions too, such as Greek fire, which separates them from the Roman navy because Romans prefered hand to hand combat and all other civilizations prefered attack from afar.

I think the Byzantine Empire is an extension of the a Roman Empire. This is because there are many similar legacies like the engineering, art, and buildings that have been adapted from the Romans. However, they could also be a separate empire just with similar legacies that have been taken from Rome, because Rome held so well. We also use Roman legacies too but we're a different civilization.

I think that the Byzantium Empire is an extension of the Roman Empire because of the many similarities in both empire. From the way they enjoy themselves, to how they maintain their empire, the Byzantium Empire clearly has a lot of influence from the Roman Empire. For example the Hippodrome is a lot like the Collusseum except it is used for chariot racing. Just like Rome the Byzantium Empire started on a small Peninsula. Even though many changed have occured throughout the Byzantium Empire, it is normal for the Romans to keep improving modern day techniques so it shows that the Byzantium Empire not be a separate empire.
