The class will go through the Alphabet (Capital Letters) to identify animals beginning with that Letter, i.e. A - Alligator.<br>Animal names with be sounded out with syllabic counting. <br><strong>Objectives</strong> </div><ol><li>Participate in small/large group discussions </li><li>Recognise <strong>upper</strong> and lower case letters of the alphabet by their shapes and names </li><li>Identify syllables in words e.g. by clapping </li><li>Identify rhymes and repeated sounds e.g. alliteration </li></ol>]]></description>

The children will read together the simple recipe which will have pictures accompaning the written instructions.The teacher will instruction individual children to follow the instructions. After completing the instructions, the children will recall and write the instructions that were needed to make the cake.
