1a) It has an emergent layer, a canopy layer then an understorey layer. All the layers form a shelter cover for the tropical rainforest. The forest is also very dense as the high rainfall and temperature lead the trees to luxurious growth, covering the whole reigion entirely. The air in the area is also very thick due to high humidity levels and moisture. It is also very sunny, making the the conditions just right for the whole forest to grow abundantly.

2. Feature X is an epiphyte. It grows above the canopy layer trees to reach out for more sunlight for photosynthesis as high rainfall and temperature lead the trees to have luxurious growth and makes the trees cover the forest floor. Thus, in the tropical rainforest, barely any sunlight reaches the forest floor because of the forest cover. It's leaves are also spread out so that there is more surface area and can capture more sunlight to make food. Since there is more wind higher up, reproduction is made eapsier for the plant.

Q2: Feature X is an epiphyte. Because of the high temperature and high rainfall, the epiphytes grows on the canopy layer of trees to receive more sunlight to photosynthesise because the forest floor has very little sunlight as the canopy layer, which is the most luxuriant, blocks out almost all sunlight. Its leaves also spread out to capture more sunlight. Theirs chances of dispersing their seed are also increased because below the canopy layer, no wind is present. Thus, the epiphytes will not be able to use wind to disperse their spores and seeds. So, they will hang onto the canopy trees

Q1: The tropical rainforest has 5 layers and is evergreen. There is the Emergent layer, the canopy layer, the understorey layer, the shrubs and the forest floor. Secondly, the tropical rainforest is very thick and luxuriant.
The tropical rainforest has the appearance of having dense foliage throughout the year

It climbs up trees to the canopy layer to obtain sunlight for photosynthesis as there is little light.

The tropical rainforest has five layers: the emergent layer, canopy layer, understorey layer, shrub layer and forest floor. It is also dense and luxuriant and the trees in the canopy layer grow closely together, blocking out sunlight for the plants below the canopy layer. Lastly, there are many species of flora and fauna, which shows that the tropical rainforest has a rich biodiversity.

1) The forest is structured as it has different layers of trees. It has a presence of both the canopy, understorey and emergent layers. There are different species in this photograph which means that there is a large biodiversity in the forest. It is also very dense and luxuriant because there are many trees and the trees are growing closely together.

2) Feature X is an epiphyte. Because of the high temperature and high rainfall, the luxuriant growth of trees will be encouraged. Since the canopy layer is so dense, it will cover up the forest floor so epiphyte has to hang onto the canopy layer for sunlight. Below the canopy layer, there is no wind for dispersal of spores so they have to hang onto the canopy layer trees for the wind dispersal of seeds and spores.

1) There are 5 layers in the tropical rainforest. Based on the picture, we can see 2 obvious layers. They are the emergent layer and the canopy layer. The emergent layer is the topmost layer, where some trees tower above the other trees, and the canopy layer is the layer where most of the trees grow to a height of. This forms an almost continuous cover. The forest in the picture is luxurious and dense. This is because of the high temperature and rainfall in the tropical rainforest. Since the climate remains the same in the tropical rainforest all year round, the trees are evergreen. This means that the tree leaves are green all year round.
2) It is an ephiphyte. It hangs on trees to reach for sunlight as most of the trees in the canopy layer block out the sunlight. The ephiphytes grow mostly on the trees at the canopy layer. Its leaves are spread out in order to capture more sunlight.

Feature X is an epiphytes.

It grows at the canopy layer as it increases their chances of dispersing their seeds or spores by wind.As such they have to hang on the canopy layer. below the canopy layer there's no wind for dispersion. Also, the height helps the epiphytes to trap maximum sunlight for photosynthesis as the forest floor does not receive much sunlight due to the canopy layer covering 90% of the sun's rays covering up the forest floor.Due to the high temperature and high rainfall, the tress growing in the forest will encourage luxuriant growth of trees, resulting in the dense canopy layer. As such, it covers up the forest floor. Another reason to its height is with a higher height, there is a greater number of canopy animal pollinators, thus helping to disperse the seeds or spores of the epiphytes.

There are five layers of the rainforest--emergent layer, canopy layer, undergrowth layer, shrub layer and finally the forest floor. The forest is also very dense and luxuriant, especially the canopy layer where lianas normally grow. Also from the picture, we can see that this rainforest has many different layers of plants. The undergrowth layer is dark because much of the sun's rays are blocked by the canopy above. There are also taller trees like the emergent layer which tower above other trees. The plants growing in the rainforest looks like they are evergreen.
