The approaches for grammar and vocabulary include deductive or traditional, inductive or conversational, and eclectic. The advantage of the inductive approach is that students can focus on the language because they set the rules for themselves even before practicing. There are three approaches to vocabulary instruction and learning. These three approaches: Incidental Learning, Explicit Instruction and Independent Strategy Development.

It ensures students learn efficiently by creating high quality learning materials that take into account the strengths and weaknesses of students. This practice will grant them some autonomy (in terms of taking responsibility for decision-making), and also create opportunities (and the necessity) for reflection.

We can mention phonics, guided reading, sight word, linguistic, language experience, and multisensory. The best way to teach reading is through systematic phonics with decodable texts. The Reading Method, sometimes known as the Reading Approach, is an outdated way of teaching English, mainly as an additional language. The theory behind the method was that students could pick up the basics of English simply by learning to understand words and grammatical patterns from written text.

Authentic materials provide real-life examples of language used in everyday situations. They can be used to add more interest for the learner. They can serve as a reminder to learners that there is an entire population who use the target language in their everyday lives. Authentic materials simply means that the text, video, or audio material has not been created with English language teaching in mind. Instead, the learning content comes from a genuine source like a news outlet, podcast, or video platform.
