Maycomb is not similiar to other towns in the environment and manner itself. With education, comes respectfulness and courtesy of others as we can see in Calpurnia's actions. Calpurnia is an African American housekeeper and even takes care of the children when they have laid themselves in a situation that may be difficult to unfold. Because she is an African American female, we can see how she expresses herself differently then other Myacomb residents and praises manners and respect at a higher level.

A universal truth that we found throughout reading the text is how much education impacts a person based on their value of learning. A person can only learn if they chose to to want to learn. No one can be forced to be educated which can be seen in the Ewells, a family that does not encourage the education system and deprives their children of a learning capability. One can only learn based on their own value of wanting to learn more.
