         <title>My understanding of tectonic plates (Aarav P)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>It is a theory which tells us that lithospheres large slabs help define our continents. Plate tectonics is driven by a variety of forces: dynamic movement in the mantle, dense oceanic crust interacting with the ductile asthenosphere, even the rotation of the planet. </p><p><br></p><p>I would like to know how they shape our continents and how they cause earthquakes and tsunamis.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>What I know: Plate tectonics are the large divisions of the Earth's crust. 4.6 billion years ago, when the Earth was formed, the continents all formed a supercontinent called Pangaea. Over millions of years, they separated by movement and collisions of tectonic plates.</p><p>What I want to know: I want to know how they were formed - did they exist immediately after the accretion of the Earth or were they formed over billions of years.</p>]]></description>
