I think the annotation and notes features are great and really useful! I'm wondering - building on the question about SLS groupings as well - can students collaborate and annotate a passage together? (E.g. one students' annotation will also appear in another students' account as they are part of the same group.)

I think that the features in SLS can't be strictly tied to specific categories e.g. a MCQ question if crafted in a way which can surface students' thinking process can also be considered as a constructed response. It depends on the teachers' competency and confidence level but to pigeon-hole and state that selected responses means only some of the SLS features we might be limiting how teachers can check on understanding using SLS.

The assignment sharing feature when enabled also allows students to view what others have done if they had been assigned to another activity (promotes rich learning). At the same time, for students who are able to progress from a particular level's activities, they can move on to the next higher level where demands of the task are higher.

I am wondering if there is an easier way of looking at students' data for each individual, so that feedback can be given to them on how they can do better as a whole. Right now, feedback can be given only to individual question and it is quite difficult to track students progress from the start of the activity to the end. If only we could generate individual response, and even give them a printed copy to see their progress, coupled with handwritten feedback!

Is there an instructional manual somewhere, so first timers (or old school) teachers can look at or flip through? Something like this SLS lesson is good, is it available to all teachers? I know learning by doing is best, but, for some, exploring a relatively unknown terrain can be scary?

I think annotation is really a great feature for students' learning. It looks like it's more for interaction between students-content. Is it possible to enhance this feature to a more advanced one to a student-student interaction? I would think if a student sees a peer does not understand certain vocabulary, they can help one another. On the other hand, if a teacher is able to see from a dashboard all the words students highlighted, it will be easier to close the learning gaps.
