I included this video in the list since scholarships are a great way to help reduce student debt. Even if it's only for $200 it's still $200 less you have to pay for in schooling. Most people think scholarships are only for the smartest people or for the best athletes, but scholarships can be given to anyone as long as you fit the requirements for it. I also learned that OSAP also gives grants as well as student loans and that you have 6 months before you need to start paying off your debt after you leave school. 

What I found most interesting was that people take out loans for school but don't put in the effort to learn and succeed in their studies. Rather they go and party and unexpectedly fail or drop out and are left with a huge debt.

If I was to pass on my knowledge to a family member, the most important thing i would pass on is the importance of saving money.
