I am part of the Cohasset Safeharbor group. My favorite part about Safeharbor is that I am able to make a true impact in my community and help people overcome obstacles they have involving the use of drugs and alcohol. I also truly enjoy educating people about the harm that drugs can bring them to make sure they don't misuse these substances. Safeharbor has impacted Cohasset for the better. In the past few years the problem of addiction seems to be much smaller than before and I believe that Safeharbor helped make this happen.

We spoke at the Boston Board of Health Hearing to restrict youth access to vaping products, educated other youth in Allston Brighton about the harms of vaping through peer education workshops, and increased awareness about Quit Vaping resources via social media and a contest where we asked youth to respond to the question "what do youth gain by quitting vaping?" and if they end they can win a gift card.

Seeing the way the 84 Movement gives youth the platform to use their voices is astounding. I have seen the confidence grow in each of the youth I work with and there is no greater gift...well that and changing legislation. So proud of the girls who I have the honor to work with, they are the leaders. Everything they do, they lead with their hearts, it is inspiring and I am so grateful that the 84 allows their voices to be heard in every context and movement. I always tear up kick butts day!

The POS peer leaders are a strong group of high school students who work earnestly to educate younger girls on healthy coping with stress management skills. We also plan events in the community to encourage substance use prevention and advocacy movements, most notably, the Massachusetts vaping ban. Some OF OUR PROJECTS is community mapping where we combine info from Lynn's demographic and we get the word out there about tobacco industries target marketing. For example, instead of turning to vaping or tobacco products we would host a karaoke night, swimming lessons, self-defense classes, open gym or board game night, to encourage teens to find a healthy method of coping with stress and spend their time. WE AS POS ARE EAGER to impact people on a larger scale again.
