1) Identify the nature imagery in this poem – there are several

In this poem nothing gold can stay, I think that the imagery is a flower, to me it represents the poem. When we are very young we are the green bud of a flower and once we become children we bloom into the flower which is the ''gold''. After children we become adults and then we grow old and the petals begin to fall off the flower. Nothing gold can stay, it means the pedals on our childhood flowers will not stay there forever and they will fall off and eventually die.

2) What is Robert Frost suggesting with each use of this type of imagery?

Robert Frost put different types and examples of imagery in the poem because it helps the readers make more connections to the poem and it helps us understand the poem more. With more imagery, you can have different perspectives of the poem.

3) How can this poem relate to The Outsiders and its characters?

This poem can relate to the outsiders because at the beginning of the book all of the greasers where together which is ''gold'' towards the end of the book ponyboy runs away from home and Johnny murders somebody..... Dallas and Johnnu die. The dawn has turned to day, meaning that the golden hour has ended.

4) Write a theme statement that focuses on this poem and what you have read so far in the

novel.

I think that the author is trying to tell the readers that stereotyping is not good, it reflects in the book when everyone thought that the greasers are bad people and that they are not smart.
