one of the most sacred temples (Hindu places of worship) in Bali, Indonesia. The name Tanah Lot comes from the word "tanah" which means land or island and "lot" or lod which means sea. So the name Tanah Lot can be interpreted as a land or island located in the sea. It’s located at Beraban village, Tabanan.

Destription :

Here there are two temples located on large rocks. One is located on a boulder and the other is located on a cliff similar to Uluwatu Temple.

Tanah Lot Temple is part of Dang Kahyangan Temple.

Tanah Lot Temple is a sea temple where the guardian gods of the sea are worshiped. Tanah Lot is famous as a beautiful place to watch the sunset.

a stunning view. When the tide is high, the temple looks like land floating in the middle of the ocean. Visitors can only set foot in the temple area when the tide starts to recede, creating a unique and dramatic experience. Around the temple area, there are a number of caves formed by seawater erosion of coral rocks. These caves are home to tame sea snakes that are believed to guard the sacred area. It is said that these snakes are pets of the gods who inhabit Tanah Lot Temple—therefore, their presence is respected and must not be disturbed.

Tanah Lot Temple itself is one of the most sacred places of worship for Hindus in Bali.
