All kids have alcohol and drugs in their blood. It was in the morning when the  gun shot fire creating the accident. All kids freaked out as they saw their friend Grant on the floor with blood everywhere. In the interview the four kids seemed to go with the same story, but each one with different demeanors. The kids stated they all used different guns, and said Grant used the Remington. No one remembers who killed Grant.
At court when it was Lindsey's turn to talk she told everything what she heard on the phone with grant. This time she added sheps name at the end, making him look guilty for the death of Grant. Throughout this whole case, Kate has been telling Shep about what's going on so he can know what hes going against. Shep met Kate at school really early on so they could hang out for a little, but turns out someone was spying on them and took a picture to send to the court house. The night before Shep has to go to jail forever, they hang out, and Shep took her to a pond in some land that his dad bought for his oil company.
