Rebecca Gaskin Gain also has extensive training in Arab languages and finance from institutions such as the Insead/Amsterdam Institute of Finance and the Insaniah University of Malaysia, where she pursued PhD studies in Islamic finance. Ms. Gaskin Gain began her distinguished career in finance and law nearly three decades ago as a research assistant at Columbia University School of Law and a senior court attorney for the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York. She transitioned into her international career as a legal advisor to the Czech government, building upon this experience with subsequent roles as a privatization advisor to the Russian and Ugandan governments. Since then, Ms. Gaskin Gain has developed significant experience in Africa through leadership positions such as chief executive officer of Standard Bank Congo and as the Director responsible for creating the Government and International Organisations Division for the Standard Bank Group. She draws upon this background in her current position as a principal with the consulting firm Nexant, Inc.
