<title>I think that the Sims as a standalone game does not have much use for language learning, however, saying that, it can be upgraded by using add-ons, as detailed in the document in the DGLL lab by Jim Ranalli. When it is upgraded specifically for use as a language learning game, it has much more potential. These upgrades may be a lot of work if you are not proficient at using computers, so IMO you would be better off just using something else like perhaps (www.gamesforlanguage.com) if that is the case. The use of this website is much more user-oriented and it takes less than a minute to get set up. It has lots of different mini games like card-shuffle-select games, time trials, and even a simplistic shooting style minigame. This, paired with a friendly voice-over, lends itself to an almost childish experience, but could nonetheless be quite useful.</title>
