I believe that Gawain is a rightful knight at the Round Table. Gawain has many of the traits of a knight. Gawain did have some bumps in the road but he is still a human that makes mistakes. Gawain trades his life for others and is honorable to himself and those around him. At the end of the poem, he redeems himself from his slight diverges by being truthful to himself and the court. Among other things, Gawain is generous, polite, selfless, trustful, humble and loyal. Gawain also serves the code of chivalry through service, obeisance, respectfulness, honor, respect of himself, courtesy, battle, combat, defense and tranquility.
