All of these forms of media are edited to make the whole situation much more dramatic then it really is. The editing puts together many articles and the way it is edited makes us see. This book is about a girl who owns a website online where she shares about her life but fans who know her have heard rumors about her that are false. The rumors that she was a bad person and sickening was from who she thought was a close friend.These rumors are spread online and they make her seem like a bad person and this is where the media play their role. Someone who was close to her said one wrong thing that the assumed about her .The media is open for everyone to see and for everyone to give their own opinion. It is an untrustworthy and uncontrollable source. Just like in HFTWP the articles written state things that are not true because they were interpreted the wrong way. In Girl Online the girl who owns the website is wrongly accused by her friend Noah who has a high status who wrongly accused her of sharing his life that he hides, with his status many people listen to what he says and easily believes them.
