Decide how you will record. In my case, I used class group work such as packets, listening in on group conversations, practice tests, and then weekly assessments. I plan on continuing this going forwards since it has been extremely useful to reference.

How frequently will you input your data?

After collecting data over a period of time, you need to decide when you will input the new averages to compare to your last data collection. Going forward I plan to do this once a month. It's a great way for me or parents to see a visual representation of their progress.

After my new averages are inputted into my data collection, I'll look at where my students are performing really well and where they're struggling. What they're struggling with is where I'll think more about differentiating or changing how I teach something altogether. Two examples of this from my clinical was frontloading vocabulary for certain students and group reading with lower-level students during group work which I hadn't been doing before..

After implementing new teaching strategies, I plan on holding meetings to discuss what worked well and what didn't. For example, we all came to the conclusion this semester that vocabulary was a struggle for a lot of students. We then started to experiment with different ways of teaching it in class and provided more outlets for them to practice at home such as Quizlet.

After meeting with my grade level team, I'll start using the teaching methods we discuss as a team to see if any students will improve. If the data collected after these new strategies are implemented improves, then I'll continue to use them. Repeat the process for collecting data and then meet with the team again.
