This freedom may give him certain confidence because he is not being observed nor monitored. And he may go over the quiz again and again if necessary without feeling embarrassed if his score was not as high as expected. 
On the other hand, I consider that this kind of quizzes may be theoretical or kind of boring if it doesn’t include real examples of contextualized situations. This quiz presentation should be visually attractive to the participants and useful at the same time in order to make it meaningful and memorable. The aim of a quiz should be how the participant can integrate everything that he has learnt instead of trying to measure how much he remembers.

Well I consider that  using online quizzes can let us grade our students' performance in the course, thus students will be able to work at their own pace, manage their time to complete it and get feedback on time since the system can show the answers after completing certain types of quizzes such as True  / False or Multiple choice quizzes. On the other side, I consider that some students can use the internet to find the answers to the questions while taking it online, so setting the time for a quiz is so important.

This is a great learning strategy for those who learn by trial and error.
The main disadvantage is that cheating can not be avoided. If online quizzes are used to enhance the learning process, then they represent an important tool. However, when students worry about the grade itself, they may end up cheating.
