Let me tell you about the Tazaungdaing Festival. It happens in Myanmar, in the month of Tazaungmone (November). At this time, we often go to the pagoda, light candles, and play with fire balloons. The festival lasts several days, and it’s one of the best times of the year. During this festival, my mon gives food to relatives and neighbors. It’s a tradition in my town, like a food exchange. I like playing guitar with brother and cousins at night, and I enjoy watching the fire balloons go up into the sky. Sometimes, I don’t like the loud sounds, but we really enjoy spending this time together.

I really love this festival because I was born in this festival month and my birthday is April 13. It happens on April 13 and this festival lasts four or five days. It’s one of the best things all year. It is the most famous and important festival in Myanmar. This season a traditional flower blooms. It's called Padauk . It looks like gold and its smell is very pleasant. I really love this flower because it only blooms once a year during the Thingyan season. Thingyan is a water festival. People celebrate it throwing water on each other, dancing, playing traditional music and eating Thingyan snacks. Mont Lone Yay Paw is a traditional Thingyan snack. We made Mont Lone Yay Paw and shared it with neighbors and friends.First day, people prepare for the festival, middle days, everyone enjoys throwing water, dancing and singing.
